ABC, a Mouthpiece for the Administration?

So now ABC is performing infomercials under the guise of a World News report for Obama. With no opposing view, could they be any more obvious? So I wonder if they will flash an 800 number the whole show so we can all call in an buy this $1.6 trillion socialistic health care program. Wonder if Charlie Gibson will treat Obama like he did Palin (LOL).
Seriously, isn’t the purpose of the press to be a check of government? To protect the public from government corruption? If I remember my history correctly, that was a major reason the founders felt the need to create the First Amendment to our constitution to ensure a freedom of the press. So are we really getting a good check if the press is in bed with the government?
President Obama keeps saying he wants a bipartisan debate over the health care reforms, how is this bipartisan or a debate? Where are the Fairness Doctrine proponents now?
